The first Padma Café, part of a hotel chain planned by the Nair Service Society (NSS) to empower women was opened in Adoor, Pathanamthitta.
The inauguration of the cafe was made by NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair on March 4, 2018.
The cafe will have a beautifully decorated dining hall, a kitchen that will follow all cleanliness norms and enough parking space, besides hosting a rural mart that will sell products made by women like curry powder, bakery items, lamp oil, and handicraft items.
