Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah governmentunveiled a brand logo for Bengaluru. Bengaluru is the only city in the country to boast of a logo of its own.
Logo was selected from the competition conducted by Bengaluru’s tourism department.
The logo designed by a creative designing start-up named Nammur, was unveiled during the Namma Bengaluru Habba, an open street festival
The logo is is part English and part Kannada reflecting the true identity of the city.
The first two letters, B, E, and the last, U, of Bengaluru are in red, highlighting the tagline Be U. The seventh and eighth letters (U and R) resemble the vowel, oo, in Kannada.
The creators of the logo say Bengaluru is a city that allows you to be you.
