Noted malayalam writer Aymanam John selected for the prestigious Odakkuzhal award for 2017. 'Aymanam Johninte Kathakal', (Stories of Aymanam John), a collection of short stories won the award for 2017.
The award consists of Rs 30,000 and a citation.
The award is given by Guruvayurappan Trust , instituted by the late poet G Sankarakurup to commemorate the Jnanpith Award won by him.
